'In this video see the fastest train between Mumbai and Goa that is the recently launched Tejas Express which was launched on 22nd May 2017. This Train Runs as 22119 from Mumbai CST @ 5:50 am in the morning and reaches karmali Station @ 14:00 Hrs in the afternoon covering a distance of approx 725 kms at an average speed of 90+ kmph. This train runs 5 days a week except Monday and Thursday. However in Monsoon it runs on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. The Rakes of this train are manufactured in Rail Coach Factory (RCF) Kapurthala Punjab. It is equipped with 12 AC Chair Cars costing Rs 1700/- and 1 Executive Class Coach costing around Rs 3200/-. It has many modern features like CCTV Camera, LED screens, smoke detectors, automatic doors, Bio-Toilets, etc. Food facilities are included in the ticket cost by default but one has a option to not include food facilities. Talking about the route, we traveled on one of the most beautiful and scenic route of Indian Railways i.e Konkan Railways. Started in the year 1998, this route cuts through the western Ghats and extends upto Mangalore covering a distance of 700+ kms having 2000+ bridges and 90+ tunnels. This was one of the masterpiece built by Indian Railways. for digging the tunnels on this route special hydraulic drilling machines were brought from sweden. E Sreedharan, who is considered as the Metro Man of India, was also involved in this project. This route is to be explored in the monsoon when the whole area is covered with green cover.
